Merchant and Manufacturer Licenses

If you operate a business which sells goods or merchandise or manufactures within Ste. Genevieve County limits, you must obtain a Merchant or Manufacturer License through the Collector's Office. The fee is $25.00 annually, due no later than December 31st, and is not prorated. The Collector's Office also issues Auctioneer and Ferry Licenses. These licenses are billed in advance of the year in which they apply. New businesses should also contact the Ste. Genevieve County Assessor's Office. If your business is within city limits, you should also check with that city for its licensing requirements. Please call or stop by our office if you have any questions.
